i like people disagreeing with peoples opinions.

i like people respecting other peoples opinions.

i even like people totally ignoring other peoples opinions.

but people in adult conversation shouldn't really dismiss peoples opinions as being stupid. that is just judgemental and shows a lack of reason. and if people in any form of industry, including "film" start dismissing the publics opinions as stupid.....well...they are asking for trouble.

i never actually commented on your opinion. i respect your opinion. you obviously know a great more deal about films than me..that is not in question.

but in the context of the film, as it is a dialogue scene (in my opinion), the line is actually crossed. whether this matters or not or whether in dialogue scenes terms this is an accurate description it doesn't negate the fact that a line is crossed.

That is quite possibly the worst attempt at salvaging something from your lack of understanding of the 180 degree rule. 'A line is crossed'- [img]confused.gif[/img] what line??? The only thing you cross is the blokes head! As greatwareagle said previously, crossing the line is a 'rule' ONLY because it might confuse the audience- but if there's no cut then there's no problem.

I'd just bite the bullet if I were [both of] you and admit that there is no crossing the line in the Jolly Frog!!!

Anyway, in terms of the film, I'm afraid it didn't do it for me at all. It seems like it should belong in a sit-com as a sketch, but even then I wouldn't find it funny to be honest. Main reason- no evidence of clever, witty or original thinking behind it.

ps who else is looking forward to 24 in february?
